Active Participation TIPS
Remember, we learned about Active Participation. Here are some tips for you to try!
Active Listening Superpower: Sharpen your active listening skills. When you truly listen, jumping into discussions and asking questions is easier. Try making eye contact, nodding, and taking notes to show you’re engaged.
Raise-Hand Hero: Don’t be shy – raise your hand to share your thoughts or answer questions. It might feel a bit nerve-wracking at first, but the more you do it, the more confident you’ll become.
Connect and Contribute: Find ways to connect what you’re learning to your own experiences or interests. When you can relate to the material, sharing your thoughts is more exciting. Be ready to contribute to discussions with your unique perspective.
Prep and Practice: Prepare for class discussions by reviewing the material beforehand. Jot down a few points or questions you want to bring up. Practice expressing your ideas so that you’ll feel more comfortable speaking up when the moment comes.
And active learning? That’s the fun stuff – participating, asking questions, and taking on cool projects.
